Last post for March from me... It was really incredible! I'm really enjoying my time here!! ✨ Finding new hobbies in my free time, walking/hiking here and there, and learning so much at the farm!

I'm Julia, and this my first blog-post. Where should I begin...? I'll tell you a little bit about me, so we can start to know each other. I was born in Argentina and I've always lived in big cities (Buenos Aires and Madrid). Let's say that I was kinda sick of the "city life", always crowded, running out of time and being one little ant in the middle of a cement jungle.

 Hello again ! Aurélie's back ! It's been now 3 weeks since we arrived in Jarenina and Ekopot farm, and as the temperatures have been getting better these past days, we decided to go on a hike near Maribor. And specifically towards the Šumik Waterfall (thanks Lukas for the recommandation in the book, btw!)
It was kind of an intense hike at some parts but the reward was so worth it!! Such a good experience! ​😍 I can only recommend it but be sure to be prepared to some tricky parts! 💧

Should I do an introduction ? My story is kinda 'boring' I would say : after finishing my master's degree in Ecology and doing some jobs here and there in France, I was feeling I was missing something, or at least at that moment, I was looking forward to a new adventure in my life. Learning about ESC volunteering, I realized it was the best opportunity for me to be able to move to a different country for some time, learning and admiring all the things and beauties it can offer! 

Then, once I knew about this opportunity, it didn't take me long to search for an ESC project in the environment theme. After spending years behind a computer during classes in the university, I was eager to reconnect with nature and earth, to put my hands in the soil and actually touch and smell it. And what is better than doing it on an organic farm, learning bio-dynamic ways - growing fruits and vegetables while taking care of the soil, fauna and flora, whatever micro or macro, living there ?
