Hola, hola, hola!
Months are passing by like crazy :)

Junij started with a Wood Workshop in which we made four Bat Houses… And I know you are wondering 'Why bat houses and no some pretty normal bird houses?' and here I am to tell you why. In the orchard we have appletrees growing, and you wouldn't imagine who likes apples more than Matjaz… Right! The moths 0.0 (Sure you thought about it, at first I didn't) Our unwanted friends come during the night and lay eggs in the apples, and nobody likes harm and sandy apples, no? SO, here's the thing: during day the birds around eat some posible apple-predators (unfortunately not slugs, that's another chapter) but during night there's no birds, I mean, those fellas must sleep a little, and here is where our HEROS and HEROINES 'The Bats' make the great move. Bats work in the night shift eating the moths around, so we made the houses to encourage them to move in the orchard. As a result we end (more or less) with the problem (for more info ask Matjaz 'bout the hormones spray) and also we increase the biodiversity in the farm (making Steiner and mother earth proud). Done with the class, it was really fun to re-learn how to use some wood machines I've always admire carpenters works and for a couple of hours I could play to be one.

In other news, this month we made a Pizza Party with the girls (Cvetka helped us a lot with the dough, not gonna lie) and as a result we had REALLY good pizzas, each one their own style and taste... Italian people would be proud. Later on, Cristi went back home for the University exams, and I must confess I missed her a lot.

On early Junij, Aurélie and I, craving for an adventure went on a hike in Austria... We randomly pick a trail not too far and not too long, and it was a quite interesting hike. We walked through a little city and through a beautiful forest, to end up in a really creepy town (I must ask Aurélie the name of it hahah) everything looked so perfect that it was scary, the grass and bushes in a perfect shape, the houses extremely clean and painted, and even if there was many cars parked on the road there were no sounds (no voices, no machines, I would say there wasn't even wind) we practically run that part of the trail hahahah. Later on we found a random 'Grape Juice Station' in the middle of nowhere and after drinking one (amazing) juice we continued. Our fellas the mosquitoes decided that I was a perfect 'merienda' and tired af of pushing them away we hurried our way back home. All in all, despite the craziness and the heat we had lot of fun and (as always) I enjoyed Elie's company and humour.
At the end of the month we went to the Lents Festival, one week full of music and events all over Maribor. On friday we went to see The Pantaloons which is a band that plays Funky music... I officially love them, they have such an amazing and strong energy, and (sure) their music is super 'danceable' hahah. Even if we thougth that the week couldn't better, on Saturday we went to see 'Folklart Dances' and I fell in love completely with every originary dance that was performed in that scenario… Just amazing, I still don't have any words for it.
Junij was a happy month, I even managed to bought some yerba mate and in our visits to Maribor i took a pic of a lovely grafitti…
See you soon!
