Hey, hey! In this post I would like to mention Maja´s and Matjaž ´s work because they deserve it. Every Thursday in Máribor and every two Wednesday in Ljubjiana during almost the whole year they are ready to the CSA delivery with a smile in their faces. When they speak about the farm you can feel the emotion in their eyes and when we work together also you can feel that they put the whole heart in all the tasks. Also, these vibes go into me and they make you a part of this little (or I am thinking it is already big) family too. Thank you for all the knowledge that you have and the way you give them to us See u you soon, Vicky

![]() At the end of May, we decided together with other volunteers to go to a concert on the main square of Maribor. Our program was quite simple: having a drink (or two) before diner, having diner. restaurant near by, and when the time comes we would go to the ain square to watch the show, even though we knew the rain was on its way. What was really weird for a classic concert (orchestra type of concert) was that the musicians had arelly nice stage in the middle of the main square BUT they didn't have anything to protect them from the rain. Although it was raining a few minutes before the concert, we decided to head their when we heard the first music, and after a few seconds there we knew it was worth it because the music was formidable. As you're probably guessing now, the concert had started 15 to 20 minutes ago and the rain was getting closer and closer. A few seconds after hearing the storm and seeing the lightnings, rain started to fall down and everyone decided to leave the main square to go to a safe and dry place, which we also did to avoid being wet to the bones. And that's basically how the night ended (after a few drinks at the Living Room obviously). This month has started in a very sweet way with wonderful strawberries! In the first days flowers were amazingly growing and after a week or so fruits were already ready to be picked and of course eaten! Believe me when I say I never had more tasteful strawberries then in here!
The team got bigger with two new vwoofers from Estonia and their gardening knowledge, their kindness and funny sense of humor gave to our group a wonderful sparkle! A very nice and hot weather was with us most of the time so I was able to have my first hikes in Slovenia, discovering new natural places and I enjoying them with the beautiful volunteers I met in Maribor. I had also the pleasure to meet people from Slovenska Filantropija participating to a project that aimed to not forget and to increase awareness around the Holocaust, so we were filling the old bunkers used during the 2nd World War in Maribor with 6 millions paper boats made by children from the schools all over Slovenia. I took part to some workshops organised by and with volunteers from Pekarna (about poetry and stop motion animation) with which I was able to experiment and find once again my creativity part. My project felt even more real when my parents and some friends went visiting the farm so I got to show them where I was living, working and having fun. To celebrate the warmth and happiness of this month, my monthly report became a drawing. See you next month! Sofia |
